Event date: 13 Sep 2012 - 15 Sep 2012

Dates: 13-15 September 2012
Venue: Portsmouth Business School

Making decisions and dealing with associated risk is at the forefront of corporate and organisational engagement and good corporate governance, in particular where serious consequential impact of these decisions might arise. Over several decades this has been a particular focus of practitioners and academics from leading universities, and now the beneficial results are to be seen in mainstream applications.

The topic for this conference will be Multi-Criteria Decision analysis (MCDA) in maritime, land and air transport management. However, the scope is quite broad to ensure that the principles of decision aiding are presented. Using the maritime heritage of Portsmouth as a topical basis, this workshop will rigorously examine the state of good practice.

For three highly focused days the Business School will welcome delegates from international academia and the private and public sectors, and will facilitate a showcase event that is designed to build upon the momentum created from the preceding 75 conferences. These events have been acclaimed as highly beneficial to practitioners as well as academics and organisational participants.

Opportunities for organisations to benefit from participation in this event are tailor-made to deliver according to budget and desired exposure to delegates and presenters.

Admission is free.
