Doctors and dentists

Register with a doctor as soon as you get here and before you become ill.

Use the full list of GP practices and dental practices or pick up a list from Nuffield Reception.

If you live in University accommodation then please ask at the reception of your Hall of Residence for your nearest doctors' surgery. Choose a practice close to your home.

The local Hospital Accident and Emergency Department is at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham. If you are not sure whether you need to go to the Accident and Emergency Department or need some health advice then ring 'NHS Direct' on 0845 4647 - this is a 24 hour phone line.
