In case of accident or emergency, please phone University Security Lodge on the phone number above. The Security Lodge will phone emergency services on your behalf. The Security Lodge officers will also come to you to provide assistance and ensure that the ambulance services have immediate access to your location.
Many Halls of Residence and Security staff are trained in first aid. If you require first aid assistance, please phone your Hall reception during office hours or the Security Lodge if it is out of working hours.
Please inform Accommodation Services before you arrive at the University about any medical condition which may need support or emergency considerations, for example, epilepsy.
Similarly, if you have any specific requirements relating to a disability or medical matter please contact your Accommodation Manager before you arrive at your Hall of Residence.
If you develop a medical condition (requiring support or emergency considerations) while living in Halls, please inform your Student Support Manager. This information will be held in confidence.
Don’t wait until you feel ill. Register with a doctor as soon as you arrive in Portsmouth.
The University Halls of Residence are located near Nuffield Medical Centre (except for Langstone Student Village) but you can register with any doctor you like in Portsmouth.
