Our team of experienced, qualified and dedicated staff are here to support you through your time at university. We provide a range of finance-related services, which can be split into two main areas of work:
- Information and guidance; and
- the administration of hardship funds
Information and guidance
We run events and workshops throughout the year, and also offer advice on debt management; state benefits and tax credits; and budgeting. Comprehensive funding information is available on our webiste www.port.ac.uk/money
Hardship funds
If you are experiencing genuine financial hardship, please contact us. As well as assessing your situation, we'll ensure you are receiving all the support you are entitled to. You may be eligible for a non-repayable grant from the following funds:
- Access to Learning Fund (ALF) and the University of Portsmouth Student Support Fund (for UK undergraduate and postgraduate students only)
- International and EU Emergency Fund
- Learner Support Hardship Fund (for Access and ABC Diploma students only)
