Biography

I am a Teaching Fellow in Marketing and a PhD candidate in Social Media strategies for SMEs. Before joining academia, I worked at the international advertising agency JWT as a Media Planner, where I gained substantive practical experience in planning marketing communications campaigns in various media (TV, Radio, Print, Internet, OOH) for brands such as: Mothercare, Nestle, Kraft and Nikas. While working there, I became really passionate about Marketing. Moreover my particular interest in the intersection of marketing and technology emerged, and I moved to the UK to pursue my research in this vibrant area.

Teaching Responsibilities

I currently teach on a range of Marketing units and am a Unit co-ordinator for the Introduction to Digital Marketing Level 5 Unit. I also supervise Students on Placements and Postgraduate Students’ Dissertations. In addition, I am a Postgraduate Research Students Representative at the PBS Faculty Research Degree Committee, and also at the University Research Committee, ensuring visibility of the Research Students’ needs, and contributing to the development of Faculty and University wide policies.

Research

My research explores SME Social Media use as a driver of marketing activities transformation. The area is largely under-researched, and I believe I will make a valuable advancement in SME marketing theory. My research interests include online marketing strategies, social media effectiveness measurements, SME marketing.
