Biography

Yuksel joined from Henley Business School, where he was Professor of Marketing and Director of Postgraduate Studies. Previously he held positions at the University of Surrey and Oxford Brookes for 14 years. His work has contributed to better understanding of brand management (consumer-based brand equity, brand personality, destination personality, place branding), service quality, consumer satisfaction, scale development, online consumer behaviour (e.g. eWOM) in the service industry. As an active researcher and international academic, Yuksel successfully participated to the RAE 2001, RAE 2008 and REF 2014. Yuksel adopts theory testing and quantitative approach in his research. He has co/authored two books, more than one hundred book chapters, peer reviewed journal articles and conference papers. Yuksel is an editorial board member for six academic journals and an external examiner for two universities. He is passionate about finding answers to practical marketing problems and challenges. He has conducted applied and academic research projects for SMEs and multinational corporations such as IBM, Ogilvy, BSkyB, Harding & Yorke, Marketpoint, Danish Telecom and InterCarabao Ltd.
