Other ways to visit us

If you can't come to one of our Open Days, there are lots of other ways to tour our campus or speak to our staff

Walking Tour

Visit us when it's convenient for you by downloading our walking tour guide and taking your own tour of the University.

You can also download an audio walking tour guide. Choose between audio only file and an enhanced version which includes images.

You can look around most of the communal buildings on campus including the Students' Union, Library and the student services in the Nuffield Centre, but it won't be possible for you to go into the main teaching areas.

Can I speak to a lecturer?

If you'd like to speak to a lecturer or tour the teaching facilities, please contact us before your visit and we'll do our best to accommodate your request. You'll need to speak to the School that runs your course. Contact details for each School can be found on our Contacts page.

If you're unsure who to contact, please get in touch with the Information Centre who will be able to advise you – email info.centre@port.ac.uk or call us on 023 9284 4444.

When can I visit?

You can visit us all year round for self-guided tours. If you visit in the holidays, the campus will be quieter than usual, especially during the summer.

General opening hours:

8.30am – 5.15pm Monday to Thursday

8.30am – 4.15pm Fridays

Where do I start the tour?

The walking tour starts at the information Centre in St Andrew's Court on St Michael's Road. Call into the Information Centre before you set off on your tour to pick up a printed copy of our walking tour guide or to ask any questions.

Directions to the University can be found on our Maps and Directions page.
