Other visiting opportunities
You can visit whenever is convenient for you; by downloading our walking tour guide (below) and taking your own tour of the University with all the information you need to hand.
If you are coming to visit us to take your own walking tour there are a few things worth considering:
Feel free to look around most of the communal buildings - including the Student Union, Library and the student services in the Nuffield Centre. Please note, however, it is not possible for you to go into any main teaching areas.
Can I speak to a lecturer?
If you wish to speak to a lecturer or have a tour of the teaching facilities, please contact us in advance of your visit and we will do our best to accommodate your request. You can find contact details for each course on our contacts and departments page.
If you are unsure which department or school runs your course, please contact the Information Centre who will be happy to advise you, or call us on 023 9284 4444.
When can I visit?
We are open for self-guided tours all year round. If you visit us in the holidays expect the campus to be quieter than usual, especially in the summer.
Our general opening hours are 08.30am - 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and 08.30am - 4.15pm on Fridays.
Where do I start the tour?
Directions to the University can be found on our Maps and Directions page.
To pick up a printed copy of our walking tour guide or ask any questions you have before setting off on your tour, call into our Information Centre, St Andrew's Court.
