Portsmouth Business School
Incoming Exchange Students
First of all, a warm welcome to Portsmouth and thank you for considering us as your study destination.
We would be delighted to consider students for exchange from our partner Universities (a map of our present partners, and those in negotiation can be found here). If we do not have an existing agreement with your host University, please discuss this with your Study Abroad and Erasmus+ advisors.
At Portsmouth, we generally teach our units in a ‘year long’ structure however we have many units available in shorter ‘Semester’ or ‘Block’ durations. The exact dates for these teaching blocks can be found on the Academic Calendar.
Portsmouth Business School offers a range of units for incoming exchange students, all taught in English these are available to view in the document below.
We have tried to offer as wide a range of options to our incoming exchange students as possible and will endeavour to accommodate your needs. Please note however that due to timetabling issues sometimes clashes do occur and where this is the case we will try to move you to an alternative sessions however some clashes may require you to select alternative options.
In addition, the University of Portsmouth offers support to our domestic and international students via our Support Services pages.
Once you are nominated to the University of Portsmouth Business School you will receive instructions on the application process from the student exchange team. When you receive your registration information via email you can log on and complete your registration. This will enable you to access your student ‘Myport’ webpage and access your timetable which can be located under ‘My Timetable’.
In order to make your transition into student life in Portsmouth as smooth as possible an International/Orientation is organised by the International Office the week prior to the start of the University academic year and involves a range of introduction, study and social events. There will also be specific induction events for Portsmouth Business School exchange students including team building and introductory events which include the chance to complete the necessary identification check to trigger the production of your University Student Campus Card.
In addition to the wide range of study opportunities offered by the University, the Student Union has a range of induction, freshers and other events in both the first weeks and throughout your stay with us…we suggest you participate as much as your studies allow.
Hopefully we’ve managed to tempt you to look a little more into Portsmouth as a destination and provided as much information as you will need. If you’d like to know more, please feel free to browse the website or contact us for more information on email@example.com.
