Associated Study and Research Opportunities

SAP Next-Gen Innovation Lab Portsmouth specialises in giving undergraduate and postgraduate students experience in using SAP software, using multiple state-of-the art computer laboratories and team-based collaborative suites (TEAL rooms), where students solve problems in groups. Next-Gen Lab Portsmouth makes use of design thinking and problem-based learning methodologies to prepare students outside the classroom, for study in the classroom in groups at tables that have both laptops and a large table screen. Teams research solutions and then build a research poster, video or presentation describing the preferred solutions.

BSc Business and Systems Management

We offer a three or four year undergraduate programme in Business and Systems Management, bringing together business skills, such as marketing, accounting, economics and human resources management, with knowledge of the theory and practice of operations management, information systems, customer relationship management, ERP, business intelligence, and social computing. It also offers teaching about managing data and enterprise security.

BSc Digital Business Management - Full time/Sandwich (awaiting validation)

Our three year full time or four year sandwich degree in Digital Business and Innovation offers students an introduction to all the areas of business from both a theoretical and practical point of view. You will be taught how to manage business processes using the latest enterprise resource planning software from global vendor SAP, and to be ready to lead business process changes using new technologies, such as the internet of things, machine learning, block chain, artificial intelligence, business intelligence, data analytics, and customer engagement software. You will experience teaching that is fully up to date and class leading, while having the opportunity to use state-of-the art facilities, including computer labs, a simulation suite, and a collaborative group learning suite.

BSc Digital Business Management - Degree Apprenticeship (awaiting validation)

Our Digital Business and Innovation degree apprentice programme encourages active involvement and fosters a lively exchange of ideas and knowledge. There will be opportunity to showcase your ideas to your employers, peers and academic tutors at the Annual Business Conference and via your portfolio of work. Over the three year course, students are required to attend three terms each year, comprising of day release on Wednesdays and three intensive teaching periods of 3-4 days (Wednesday-Saturday) in each term. An academic mentor helps to undertaken your work-based learning project in the final year.

MSc Digital Business Management (awaiting validation)

This heavily SAP-biased full time or part time course allows students to pick up advance business and enterprise management skills that take what has been learnt at undergraduate level to a higher understanding. For this reason, graduates of this course are highly sought after by many large companies.
