Subject Specific Teacher CPD
Using the expertise of our colleagues in academic departments across the University, we have put together a number of teacher CPD events for subject specific teachers.
In the past we have run events in Physics, English and Computing, with the most recent events linked to Cosmology and Modern Foreign Languages and a Drama workshop delivered in conjunction with the Fluid Motion Theatre Company and the RSC.
A-Level geology teachers engineering geology and geohazards CPD course
12-13 July 2018
A two day CPD Course designed around the new OCR and WJEC Eduqas curriculum standards for teaching engineering geology and geological hazards to A-level students.
The CPD course is free for teachers to attend including two nights B&B accommodation, lunch during the course plus a social event in the evening of Day one. Find out more about this CPD opportunity.

Public lectures and events

Our team are also available to attend other events in your schools. These include, but are not restricted to, Parents Events and Careers/Options Evenings.

The University of Portsmouth is part of a new partnership bringing together the six universities in Hampshire and Dorset to help schools and colleges find, and access, university outreach activities and resources.
The Southern Universities Network (SUN) website provides a one-stop-shop for teachers to find activities for their students and teachers. There is also a webinar programme for teachers and advisers on relevant HE topics and details of how to sign up can be found on the website.
