The term 'situated knowledges' reflects a developing interest in and attitude towards the teaching theory that underpins the live project in architectural education; they are now more widespread in architectural education than ever before, yet they have not been extensively theorised. This talk will consider the live project in architectural education as an opportunity to explore our conceptions of academic and non-academic knowledge. The live project gives us a unique opportunity to critique what we teach, how we teach, and why we teach.
