I joined the Department of Psychology as a Senior Lecturer in 2003 after completing my Ph.D. in Linguistics in Bielefeld (Germany), Lublin, and Warsaw (Poland).

My research concerns the linguistic mediation of activities, in particular the accomplishment of cooperative embodied activities and how such activities are resourced by the grammatical structures of a language. This research has been funded by the British Academy, the Economic and Social Research Council, and most recently the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
