CEMARE
Postgraduate Courses
CEMARE specialises in the teaching of postgraduates, offering students the opportunity to access the teaching expertise and specialist resources developed over many years by members of the Centre and the wider Economics Department and the knowledge gained from cutting edge research in the field of marine resource economics and management.
CEMARE offers both a taught postgraduate course (full-time and part-time) in the area of marine resource economics and management and a PhD programme. Follow the links for further details.
Teaching and supervision is provided in-house by CEMARE staff and staff from the Economics Department, and is designed in both subject matter and mode of presentation to optimise the learning experience. St. George's Building and the Richmond Building (home of the Portsmouth Business School) provide modern and flexible teaching and research space, and students also have access to a variety of other facilities to facilitate supplementary self-directed learning.
Students have access to both generic and dedicated University resources in support of their studies. In addition to the University?s computing and library resources, students also have access to the specialist resources within CEMARE, including dedicated software and computing facilities and the Reading Room. The Reading Room hosts a substantial collection of books, reports, papers and journals dedicated to marine resource economics and management, along with various databases and computer-based collections. The collection has been built up over many years and represents a valuable research tool for both staff and students in the Centre.
