CEMARE Library
The CEMARE has access to a collection of material on the subject of fisheries economics which has been collected by staff since the inception of the Centre in the early 1960s. Areas covered by the collection include the following:
- fisheries (both marine and freshwater)
- recreational fisheries
- coastal zone management
- aquaculture economics and management
- environmental management
- agricultural economics
Due to recent relocations it was necessary to reduce the collection to an extent and to transfer some material to the University Library.
Access is also provided to a wide range of commercially available online databases, including Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts (ASFA). The CEMARE Library is a member of the European Association of Aquatic Sciences Libraries and Information Centres (EURASLIC), and the International Association of Aquatic and Marine Science Libraries and Information Centers (IAMSLIC).
