Lt.Cdr Nigel Ward, Royal Navy, has conducted many lean improvement initiatives in the Portsmouth Dockyard. He will present his personal views on what encourages people's performance and the role targets have in this.
Dr. David Hall will present good practice from research worldwide on performance management. David is an HR professional and his interest is the impact of measures on people.
This seminar will be of interest to HR, Finance and Operations Managers. It will explore the impact of targets on staff and how they impact their performance. Examples from the Portsmouth Dockyard will be given, together with academic research findings of good practice.
