Cibas
Natalie Dowse
After becoming one of our clients visual artist Natalie Dowse was awarded Cibas seed funding and mentoring, as well as participating in many of the available workshops. Since then she has completed two successful residencies and has been able to focus on her creative business full-time.
Natalie was the recipient of the prestigious Derbyshire Community Foundation’s Vickers Fine Art Award and teaching fellowship 2007-2008 in collaboration with the University of Derby. In 2006 she also completed an Arts Council England and Braziers International Artist’s residency in Riga, Latvia.
Her work from the Vickers Award has been shown at the Derby Museum and Art Gallery, The Wirksworth Festival and the Buxton Dome, University of Derby. This exhibition was recently featured in The Guardian Guide and ‘an’ magazine.
Natalie's work was used in the initial promotional material for Cibas South East in 2006.
