Current Research
I am currently engaged in two research areas:
- Long term preservation (in particular I am contributing to the KEEP and POCOS projects). In this domain my major interests are preservation metadata, user requirements and standards and workflows for digital preservation.
- User studies for digital libraries’ development. I am particularly interested in mixed research methods and innovative techniques, such as eye tracking and analysis of research paradata.

I am interested in doing further work on methods and tools for preservation of complex objects and on specific evaluation techniques for digital preservation systems. I would also like to expand my work on user studies in the direction of identification of personal information needs and skills as a step towards personalisation and recommender systems for digital libraries. In particular, I am interested in users with disabilities or the ageing population.
I am also interested in new visualisation methods which would allow more enjoyable user experiences in using digital libraries.
