Audio Transcription Service

CORD's professional transcription service is available to all University members, external bodies and other Universities. 

We handle all projects with the utmost confidentiality.

Need a quote? Contact CORD outlining your project, and we will send you a no obligation transcription quotation within one working day.  Please include the audio file you would like transcribed and the required deadline.

Quotations are tailored to the nature and complexity of individual transcriptions, with transcription rates being charged on an audio time basis, working to 10 minute blocks rounding upwards.

 When do you need your transcription completed by?  We can cater for deadlines from between 48 hours* and 4 weeks, subject to capacity.  *Please call or pop into the office if you have a tight deadline.

Which type of audio file do you have?  We convert and transcribe primarily from MP3 & WAV files: if you have a different type of file let us know, and we’ll see what we can do.

Wondering how to get your audio files to us?  You can send them via email, CD or USB flash drive.

Are there names and places that you need to keep anonymous?  If you can’t help but mention them in your audio, we can ensure anonymity in your transcript for an additional fee.

We’re going to make life a little easier for you.  Help us to help you by completing the downloadable form at the bottom of this page.  Simply copy and paste it into the email containing your audio file, or save as a word document and pop it on your flash drive/CD along with your audio.  Note – we can anonymise 2 names as standard, if you need more than 2 anonymisations, please call us to discuss on 02392 84 4083.
