Affective Landscapes 2012: Call for Papers
Fri, 14 Oct 2011 16:20:00 BST
A call for papers has been issued for the Affective Landscape conference, organised by CSL member Christine Berberich in collaboration with the Identity, Conflict and Representation Research Centre at the University of Derby.
Following 2009's symposium on ‘Land and Identity’, this event will explore how we ‘feel’, ‘sense’, ‘know’, ‘cherish’, ‘memorise’, ‘imagine’, ‘dream’, ‘desire’, or even ‘fear’ landscapes. Papers are invited on themes including psychogeography, cultural politics, suburbia, edgelands, phenomenology or Ecocriticism.
Proposals of not more than 250 words should be sent to Dr Christine Berberich by 16 December 2011.
