Philosophy

Machinery has no meaning without people and as such any research in Computer Science needs to draw upon our understanding of psychology. Because the science is still not fully formed we also need to draw upon philosophy to act as a guide to organising our thoughts.

Computer Science has the same relationship to Software Engineering as Science has to Engineering in that Computer Scientists evolve an understanding of the world that can be applied by Software Engineers.
