Users should be aware that many updates made to this site to add new resources that have become available are not visible immediately when this site is accessed from outside the UoP. We are currently making every effort to correct this server error and to make all of the resources available via Xenbase to improve searching capability. Please accept our apologies.

EXRC are currently contacting users’ laboratories in order to collect plasmids and antisera for curation and distribution. All plasmids are sequenced before being made available and in situ probes and antibodies are tested.

How to order Resouces

If you would like to request a specific resource from the EXRC please download the order form, Once the order form has been filled in please email the form to xenopus@port.ac.uk If you have any specific questions about the service provided by the EXRC or the resources available please contact us by email or by phone +44(0)23 9284 2327

Plasmids are spotted onto filter paper and are sent via Royal Mail.

Fosmids are provided as an LB Stab culture in a Falcon tube and sent via Royal Mail.

Antibodies are sent in Falcon tubes packed in dry ice and sent via overnight courier.

Ooyctes are sent in 1x MBS* with one overy per Falcon tube and sent via Parcel force next day by 10am service.

Xenopus are sent via a licenced livestock courier, either Fetch Europe or IMPEX**

A small charge is applied to each resource to cover the cost and delivery detailed in the table below:
