4. 1801 census: surrey
The 1801 census was the first census taken from the whole of Britain excluding Ireland. We have liked data entered by Paul Ell of the Queen's University, Belfast to our 1871 data and had a good degree of success; only three 1881 parishes are unshaded (0.7% of map area). No location was found for 14,256 people from the 1801 census (4.7%) and are thus unmapped. Only the Extra-Metropolitan part of Surrey is included.
