CADRE (Congestion Avoidance Dynamic Routing Engine)
Dr Yang Wang
CADRE is a new GPS navigation service aimed at improving vehicle routing, developed under SEEDA’s (South East England Development Agency) 2007 Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Programme by a UK consortium. This joint project also consists of contributions from ComSine, Hampshire County Council, Smartcom, Transport Research Laboratory, and ViaMichelin. A set of advanced AI techniques has been developed for use in a world leading product, which interprets live and historic data to predict traffic congestion and provide alternative vehicle routes.
