My focus is on investigating methods that can be applied to optimise, control and solve problems within real world systems; in industry, commerce and public services.

My interest is in projects that aim for better quality of life, increasing productivity and profits. The main focus is to reduce dependency on human presence and availability, thereby automating systems to work reliably at all times under variety of conditions.

• Joined the Arab Science & Technology Foundation (ASTF) on EUMEDCONNECT, a project to establish and operate an IP-based network in the Mediterranean region
