Pterosaurs - controversial feeding habits
Pterosaur feeding habits remain controversial. Those with highly elongated jaws are thought to have picked up fish from the surface of the water using their long jaws like tweezers, but it is possible that some fed by skimming. Those with large teeth in the front of their jaws probably used them for fishing, while those with hundreds of fine needle-like teeth probably filtered small crustaceans from the water.
