Decision Support

Where important but complex decisions need to be made, we can provide software to enhance the effectiveness of decisions made. Our particular expertise is where a combination of technical, economic and social issues need to be balanced. Our statistical analysis provides records and transparency that an optimum decision has been made.

The way in which we can help you:

Our radio controlled handsets can report voting of a groups range of issues. Results are analysed statistically in real time and projected for discussion. Reasons for differences of opinion can be surfaced in order to reach consensus on a decision.
Alternatively a series of paired comparisons between alternative solutions can be presented and preferences recorded on a computer linked to a screen. Software can compute the alternatives to produce a decision that optimises all factors.

Our track record of success:

An example of application includes using a group decision support system at childcare conferences, to support the decision of whether a child should be taken into care or not. This was funded by the Nuffield Foundation.
