Lynda graduated in 1992 with a BA (Hons) in European Business Studies and German from the New University of Buckingham (formerly Buckingham Chilterns University College). After a period of time working in Disneyland Paris, Lynda joined the pharmaceutical industry working in various sales and training roles in companies including Innovex, MSD and Pfizer. After 12 years, Lynda left the industry to become self-employed, setting up and running a Property Presentation business and a Community Information website.

In November 2008, Lynda joined Sunrise Senior Living in Southampton as Director of Community Relations where her area of responsibility included Professional Business Development.

In September 2009, Lynda started her role as Business Associate in Research and Knowledge Transfer Services.
