Report: Enhancing your project management and quality assurance skills
The workshop Enhancing your project management and quality assurance skills took place on 27 January 2012. The speaker Raisa McNab, Production & Quality Manager at STP Nordic, a translation company specialising in the Nordic languages brought to the workshop eight years of experience in project management and quality assurance along with her experiences of the challenges translators face in their daily working lives. Feedback was very positive and similar workshops under the series “Translation at Portsmouth: Engaging with the profession " are planned to take place later this year.

Report: Legal translation
As part of a series of translation CPD events held at the University of Portsmouth, the first of our "Engaging with the profession" events was organised on 27 May 2011. It was a day-long introduction to legal translation. The workshop was led by Richard Delaney, a practising translator, barrister and translator trainer.
