    The School of Biological Sciences has a thriving postgraduate research programme and welcomes enquiries and applications from prospective full time and part time UK, EU and international PhD researchers. PhD researchers conduct independent and original research on a chosen topic, working closely with a team led by a supervisor who guides and advises them throughout their study.

  • Commercial Opportunities & Knowledge exchange

    The School has world-class expertise and state-of-the-art facilities for research and development in a variety of disciplines ranging from, for example, ecotoxicology and environmental monitoring, through microbial culture and analysis, to nucleic acid and protein characterisation.
