Are you a final year student in the School of Computing?

Computing student mentor scheme
The School of Computing and Information Services mentor scheme is open for applications.

Apply now to be mentored by an experienced IT professional from the University of Portsmouth IT department.

Our mentors include software developers, networking professionals, systems engineers, business analysts, project managers and many others. Between them they have experience working in a wide range of organisations including many top computing employers.

The scheme will run for the full academic year, 2016-2017.

As a student mentee you can:

  • discuss your professional development and career aspirations with an experienced professional who shares your interests;
  • gain insight into the world of work including what potential employers are looking for;
  • explore career options and opportunities;
  • get advice on CV writing and application forms;
  • identify any skills gaps you might have and discuss how to fill them.
