SECS representatives have been meeting with counterparts in the Netherlands following the creation of an exchange relationship with Fontys University.

The School of Education and Childhood Studies was pleased to host its October research seminar with The MICE Hub. The session was presented by Dr Rachael Stryker, Associate Professor, Department of Human Development and Women’s Studies, California State University. The research focus included the well-being of adoptive families to effectively inform adoption education.
News: SECS FE team to train ex-military teachers and trainers
The School of Education and Childhood Studies further education teacher training team has been awarded a national contract to train armed forces service-leavers to work as further education teachers and trainers based in colleges and training providers around England.
News: SECS brings primary school languages to life
Language teachers from primary schools in Portsmouth, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight took part in a day of workshops designed to support the region’s teachers to consider creative ways to deliver language lessons to their learners.
News: SECS secures £272,000 further education contract
The University of Portsmouth has won a contract worth £272,000 to work on a project aimed at transforming further education in the UK. The award, from the Education and Training Foundation, will help the School better equip teachers working in 16-19 education to implement study programmes.
