Biography

I have been a nurse for over 30 years, starting as a cadet pupil nurse right through to an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. I have been in The Queen Alexandra Royal Army Nurse Corps as a Private right through to Senior Management level. I trained as a Lecturer Practitioner in 2002 gaining a Post Grad diploma in Health & Social Care Education. Most of my career has been in Primary Care and at present I am part of a GP practice in Bognor Regis. I have been a Head of Post Reg education in UCE Birmingham and enjoy pushing boundaries within the conventional roles in nursing.

I am married with two grown up children, my hobbies are reading and cycling but more recently I have been kayaking and paddle boarding - as I live by the sea it is a shame not to be a part of the activities that are fairly accessible there.

My aim within nurse education is to guide staff into the exciting world of Primary Care especially within the realm of the Five Year Forward views
