Biography

I joined the University of Portsmouth in September 2012. Before that, I taught French as a Foreign Language in France (Centre International d’Etudes Françaises - Dijon) and at the University of Warwick. At the School of Languages and Area Studies, I teach French language classes at all undergraduate levels and as part of the University’s Institution Wide Language Programme (IWLP).

Teaching Responsibilities

My teaching responsibilities include teaching on the following units:

  • French General Language Grade 1 (IWLP)
  • French General Language Grade 1&2
  • French General Language Grade 3&4
  • French General Language Grade 3
  • French General Language Grade 6
  • French Language Project

I am also the unit coordinator of the following units and pathway:

  • French General Language Grade 1&2
  • French General Language Grade 3
  • French Language Project
  • MFL with Initial Teacher Training (ITT)

I am also a Study Abroad Link Tutor. I coordinate Erasmus exchanges with the Universities of Tours and Toulouse - Jean Jaurès, as well as British Council Assistantships. I am also personal tutor to incoming Erasmus students.

Research

My interests include second language acquisition, teaching and learning, teaching French as a foreign language, French culture, society and literature.
