My research focuses primarily on equality and non-discrimination in Europe, with my PhD thesis examining the normative relationship between positive action and the notion of ‘full equality’ within the framework of EU Law and the European Convention of Human Rights. I have published in the area of gender equality and I am contributing to edited volumes on aspects of European Human Rights Law that will be published in early 2014. I am a regular invited speaker in the Academy of European Law (ERA) in Trier, as an expert on positive action and gender equality. I have presented papers in a number of national and international conferences and workshops, most recently in Sheffield, Brussels, Leeds, Sussex and Modena.
