Serious incident

These pages are designed to provide information to staff and students of the University of Portsmouth during a serious incident.

There are no serious incidents at present.

Please bookmark these pages at the University and at home for future reference should a serious incident occur. You may be asked to check regularly for information and instructions.

The University has a Serious Incident Management Team who will work to a set of plans to deal with all emergencies. Emergencies may include such incidents as flood, fire, chemical hazard or a flu pandemic.

These pages will be used to keep staff and students informed during an incident. Other methods of communication may include student and staff websites and portals, emails, posters, leaflets, plasma screens and possibly SMS messaging.

Please make sure you and your friends/colleagues check these pages regularly during a serious incident.
