Association of University Administrators (AUA)
AUA at the University of Portsmouth
The Association of University Administrators (AUA) is the professional body for managers and administrators working in HE in the UK and Ireland. It aims to promote excellence in HE management and administration and to raise the profile of those roles in HE as a profession through the development of best practice and high standards in the area.
There are approximately 4,000 UK members of the AUA, with 23 members in the University of Portsmouth branch. Membership is open to all HE employees working in an administrative or managerial role, and provides opportunities for professional development (including travel abroad), regular publications and emails, and access to an online peer forum.
The AUA is unique within the sector as the only professional association offering individual membership to the HE professional services workforce.
