Creative Writing in a Foreign Language

Our Objectives

Encourage students to develop foreign language learning at the highest possible level
Enable students to learn and develop new vocabulary and expressions
Encourage and facilitate learning of a variety of writing styles
Recognise students' talents and learning at this level, which are not recognised through compulsory academic assessments
Encourage creativity and students' active participation
Inspire and motivate lower grade students, particularly new ones (years 1 and 2)

Encourage multi-disciplinary collaboration amongst various professionals within and outside the university (lecturers, writers, etc)
Encourage collaboration between all the language departments
Encourage collaboration between different Schools of the University
Raise the School's and the University's profile by showing the achievement of its students/graduates
Make use of the University's printing and web facilities
