Suitable for Allied Healthcare Professionals (AHPs), Healthcare Scientists (HCSs), Medical Practitioners and Nurses.

New PEP course sessions dates and venues now available - See course calendar and apply to take part!

Evidence Based Practice (EBP) ensures that health care is based on valid, reliable and relevant evidence determined by robust research and evaluation. It also takes into account patients' circumstances, beliefs and values and experience of the clinician in order to provide best possible care.

This website provides information and online support for health professionals taking part in a learning beyond registration short course on EBP.

Putting Evidence into Practice (PEP) is currently being offered for free for Healthcare Professionals who work for the NHS in the South Central region. This course aims to provide post qualification Healthcare Professionals with the ability to engage in evidence based practice and implement validated evidence based developments into their practice.

Comments from past PEP participants include:
"Excellent content and led by tutors who were evidently highly skilled, interested and helpful."

"Our professional journal arrived this week and for the first time in months I actually looked at it. Amazing!"

"Very enjoyable, informative and not to mention relevant."

"The session on qualitative research and critical appraisal of this type of research was very useful. It was a field I knew nothing at all about."

"It has been invaluable to hear how other professionals work, how they set aside time for research, what challenges they face and ways they have overcome issues."
