Financing your Foundation Degree

Who pays?

Some students on the FdA Government have their fees paid by their employers.  Others may share the cost with their employers, or may be given the study time as part of their employment.  It is highly important that both parties discuss the arrangement before application.

How much?

The fees associated with the University of Portsmouth’s FdA Government course are reviewed regularly, and a fee lookup facility is provided by Student Registry.  Full information is available at www.port.ac.uk/tuitionfees.

Support

Although the Student Loans Company does not issue loans to students on this course, we do endeavour to make this part of the foundation degree as painless as possible.  When students are paying the fees themselves, for example, we allow payments in instalments.  Our student finance centre is also available to you to help with any problems you may face.
