Zhejiangopterus: a Chinese pterosaurian ‘Rosetta stone’
This is the only azhdarchid pterosaur where the complete skeleton is known. Because it has neck vertebrae and skull bones very similar to those of Quetzalcoatlus, it has been used as a guide for scaling in the missing bones of Quetzalcoatlus, particularly for determining the wingspan. The neck vertebrae have been further refined using information from the Moroccan azhdarchid pterosaur Phosphatodraco.
