Information for staff - Erasmus+

Erasmus+ and the British Council

The Erasmus+ programme is funded by the European Commission, and administered by the British Council (for the Higher Education part of the programme) in the UK. Full information on Erasmus+ can be found on their website.

Erasmus+ 2014-2020

The Lifelong Learning Programme formally ended on 31 December 2013.  In practice, the Erasmus+ provision concludes at the end of the 2013/14 academic year. Consequently, all activity from 2014/15 to 2019/20 will fall under the new programme, Erasmus+.

UoP Erasmus+ Staff Workshop

All staff are welcome to attend our Erasmus+ Staff Workshop, run by the Exchanges and Study Abroad Team during Teaching Block One which covers all aspects of the Erasmus+ programme. Please note that attendance at this workshop is compulsory for Erasmus+ Departmental Coordinators. There will be a choice of dates to attend - please refer to the Annual Timeline (available soon), or contact us for more details.

Erasmus+ Departmental Coordinators

Each department at the University should have a designated Erasmus+ Departmental Coordinator. Full list of the current Erasmus+ Departmental Coordinators and their responsibilities.

Inter-Institutional Agreements

Unlike non-Erasmus+ exchange arrangements, Erasmus+ mobility does not need to be covered by a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA). A formal agreement is, however, still required and this takes the form of an Erasmus+ Inter-Institutional Agreement (IIA), which must be processed and authorised by the Exchanges and Study Abroad Team and signed by the University's authorised Erasmus+ institutional signatory (currently the International Director).

More details on requesting or renewing an IIA.
