Responsibilities

Internal Communications is responsible for:

  • management of all broadcast communication through central channels
  • serious incident communication, where instructed
  • maintenance of this Policy and advice on its implementation

Academic departments are responsible for:

  • learning and teaching communication with their students
  • operational communication related to students’ working environment and the administration of their course
  • serious incident communication, where instructed by IC or Directorate
  • ensuring all staff adhere to this Policy

Student support services are responsible for:

  • communicating with large groups of students through IC
  • communicating on an individual basis with students who are engaged with their service
  • serious incident communication, where instructed by IC or Directorate
  • ensuring all staff adhere to this Policy

Students are responsible for:

  • ensuring they check primary channels of communication regularly and respond in a timely manner where necessary
  • informing their academic department if messages or information is not reaching them in an appropriate or satisfactory manner
  • informing their academic department of any changes to personal details
