Corporate Merchandise

The University has undertaken a review of branded merchandise to assess how to provide this service more effectively and efficiently.

As a result of the review, and with agreement from both UEB and the Brand Reference Group, the provision of all merchandise will be transferred from Marketing and Communications to The Students’ Union. The process for the transfer is currently being finalised and will be communicated in due course.

Transfer of this service to the Students’ Union enables us to capitalise on their existing retail experience, set-up and processes such as online ordering and greater levels of stock of core items being held in-house.

Alongside the review of processes we have also reviewed the stock range to ensure that merchandise is appropriate to the University’s requirements. This will lead to a rationalisation of the core stock range – pens, notebooks, lanyards and so on. For example offering just one type of pen with core University branding means we can order a larger stock and gain the benefits of economies of scale. Information of the available items will be available when the new process goes live.

The Students’ Union will take over responsibility for all merchandise from 26 February. If there are any queries about corporate merchandise please email
