Help to ensure dignity and respect at work

To support and encourage dignity and respect at work, the University is expanding the existing successful team of Harassment Advisors.

Would you like to join the team and offer practical and emotional support to colleagues or students?

Harassment Advisors are a point of contact for any employee or student who considers they may be a victim of harassment or bullying, or who has had a complaint made against them. The ability to listen and establish trust and confidence is a must.

People who experience bullying or harassment often like to talk to someone like themselves, so we are looking for volunteers from across the University in a variety of departments, services and roles.

This voluntary role is open to all full-time members of staff, and commitment is flexible to work alongside your current post. You will be required to attend a two day training programme in March and a further two network meetings per year. Cases are distributed fairly amongst the team to sensibly manage work load. You will be expected to spend working time with clients so you may wish to discuss this with your line manager.
