Daniel Alexander, Course Leader of the BA (Hons) Photography at the Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries is trying to find contacts in Dubai, Shanghai, Auckland, San Francisco and Sao Paulo to cooperate on the creative project 1day6cities (www.1day6cities.org).

Photographers, both amateur and professional, filmakers and students will work together to simultaneously document 24 hours of their city. The resulting footage will be exhibited in each city and a book created of the still images. 

An important part of 1day6cities is making connections with universities in each city. Daniel is keen that students and staff from each city have the chance to take part and contribute to the project.  Many Portsmouth photography students are already working on the London side of the project.

Daniel is now looking for more connections in Dubai, Shanghai, Auckland, San Francisco, and Sao Paulo with either university staff, students, photographers or filmakers who might like to take part. They would be asked to shoot two hours worth of timelapse footage in their city or setting the brief to their students.
