Supervised by: Dr Nicholas Ford and Dr Christopher Simms
My research interests include the incorporation of sustainability in to organisations, green innovation and environmental consumer behaviours.
My research focuses on the management of developing packing to reduce food waste in the new product development process of food packaging organisations in the UK. The aim of the research is to build a new understanding of the management of packaging development to reduce food waste within the supply chain of food and drinks firms. This research will apply the proposed benefits and barriers of Environmental NPD to a new context, consolidate Packaging Development, Product Development and Sustainability literature streams and explore food waste from a management perspective, unlike previous research which has focused on substantiating the environmental impact of food waste. I am currently working on developing a conceptual framework and will shortly begin data collection to explore the processes organisations undertake.
