Before joining the Strategy, Enterprise and Innovation (SEI) subject group as a PhD researcher, I have spent over six years working in the industry gaining experience in technology, life science & healthcare and financial sectors within both B2B and B2C markets. During this time, I had been involved in developing and executing marketing and digital transformation strategies for the UK, but also some international clients - helping businesses to transit from traditional product-focused business to customer-centric models.
Seeing how many businesses struggled with, or even failed to introduce change, I tasked myself with an ambition to understand the 'WHYs' and 'HOWs' of organisational change as a means of innovating and acquiring a competitive advantage.
My PhD Research: Examining Business Model Innovation processes and management practices: Exploratory study of incumbent and entrepreneurial firms in shifting economy
This PhD research focuses on business model optimisation, innovation processes and their management, to enable firms to re-think and implement novel business models within wider ecosystem. This project is mainly focused on creating and optimising business models for ‘Circular Economy’ and ‘Sharing Economy’. The aim of this project is to develop a ‘roadmap’ for Business Model Innovation (BMI) processes and, based on this, construct a managerial framework that will be used for active development and management of BMI initiatives.
I am also actively engaged in teaching, dissertation supervisions and marking within SEI subject group.
