Vijay is Senior Lecturer in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship. He has been Professor of Business Economics at the MS University of Baroda, India, visiting Professor in Entrepreneurship at Lancaster University Management School, E-moderator for University of Liverpool’s on-line MBA, Reader in Economics at Sherubtse College, Bhutan and Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at Edinburgh Napier University.
Vijay is a reviewer for TQM Journal and book reviewer for Routledge publications. He is a founding member of Society of Entrepreneurship Educators (see2003) and has beenconsultant to Promethean, UK, Lupin Laboratories, India and Diamines & Chemicals, India.
Vijay is the founder of Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM)’s current team in India, which is a consortium of Wadhwani Centre for Entrepreneurship Development at Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmadabad and Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad. The consortium carries out GEM’s research activities in India and publishes annual GEM India reports. Vijay, as a member of GEM India team represented India at 2012 GEM Annual Meeting in San-Francisco.
Vijay is the course leader of MSc in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship and is the coordinator of final year undergraduate Independent Study Options. He is the unit coordinator of undergraduate units Dissertation and Contemporary Issues in Entrepreneurship as well as the postgraduate unit, Entrepreneurship Theory. He teaches Corporate Entrepreneurship and Strategy Management at MBA and delivers MBA Masterclass on Entrepreneurship with Dr Zoe Dann.
Vijay’s research interests are in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation. Low-tech innovation by small companies in traditional industries and relationship between taxation, technological change and entrepreneurship are the areas of his current research.
Vijay has written and published poetry in Hindi.
