I’m at home in Oxford for the weekend, and I’ve been thinking about my family a lot, and my sister’s currently in her first year of university elsewhere in the country and I am so jealous of all the time she has ahead of her, the opportunities coming her way, and the fact she doesn’t …read more
Super busy.
Well, the past months of university, and life in general, have been ridiculously busy. I guess this is what being an actual proper grown up feels like (turning 22 in November has definitely reminded me I’m getting older now)! Third year has been a whirlwind of reading, essays, editing, going to gigs, reviewing, socialising, and …read more
The D word.
It’s official. I can’t keep denying it and longing for the days when I lived at Langstone and I was only 19. I am a third year student. I’m graduating next summer (unless something goes terribly wrong…) and it’s finally happening: the dissertation. Thankfully I chose a dissertation topic that I’m really interested in and …read more

Third year!
I know it’s been a while since I’ve written and I’m not sure where to begin really but, I’m not gonna lie, third year is slightly terrifying. Journalism & life as an SMA.
For me, this summer has been a bit of a washout, in more ways than one. The weather is awful but, more importantly, I’ve been struggling to find a balance between work, my social life, and attempting to get ahead on my reading for my final year at uni. One thing I’ve been working hard …read more

Good news!
All my hard work has paid off and The Galleon’s AGM last night I won the award for “Best Critic”. I’m so happy as I’ve put a lot of hard work into my writing and it looks like I should be able to get the Music Editor position in September! I’ve also handed in 2 …read more
Where did second year go?!
Times going so quickly! Adding to the stress of my workload, I went to the library this evening only to find they were having network problems and I couldn’t log even log on to a computer. It’s great that there’s so much IT support at the university but it’s a shame when the inevitable happens …read more
The next Shakespeare? I doubt it.
But on the plus side, I feel pretty positive about my writing in general at the minute. Sometimes I feel a little bad about neglecting this blog, so I apologise to anybody who reads it as it may, from time to time, be lacking in new content. This Easter I have slightly felt as though …read more
