Accommodation
Private housing
New students who do not want to live in university allocated accommodation, or who we are unable to allocate places to, will need to secure private rented accommodation, and Student Housing can help you.
We publish information on available shared houses, flats and lodgings through our online private sector accommodation service, PortsmouthStudentPad.co.uk and there is a Facebook group where our current students can advertise their vacancies and search for housemates.
You can call into the office, email or phone, to speak to a Student Housing Officer who will help you with any housing queries. You can also visit our office and pick up information leaflets and support literature that cover all aspects of private sector renting.
Student Housing can also offer a web based house-hunting information module and a linked social networking group for all new students to get the information needed to successfully start the search for the perfect student home.
The online package is supported by our regular housing support events running throughout the summer from July to September.
